My name is Rachel Hudson and I am an Integrative Counsellor and Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
What is integrative? This means that I can adapt the way I work with clients. As human beings, we can be pretty complex creatures and I don't see therapy as a one size fits all solution, my skills allow me to adapt the way I work to fit my client’s needs.
I embarked on my counselling training due to a life event that impacted myself and my family, the positive impact counselling had for all of us lit a fire in me and sparked a desire to help others.
Since qualifying in 2014 I have gained experience in working with a range of issues from but not limited to anxiety, depression, abuse, domestic violence, addiction and relationship issues just to mention a few.
The services I am or have been involved with are Rotherham Abuse Counselling Service, Doncaster Drug and Alcohol services, M25 Homeless Shelter as well as my Private Practice.
Wanting to have more tools in my toolbox I embarked on my year-long journey of becoming a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist learning the techniques of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, and seeing for myself with my client work what a powerful tool this is for working with a multitude of conditions and symptoms.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and practice in accordance with their Code of Ethics (www.bacp.co.uk/ethical_framework). The BACP's register of counsellors and psychotherapists is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. I am also a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy.
I hold an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate, and full Professional Indemnity Insurance cover.
